Group coaching

The traditional approach to group coaching involves presentations and lectures with lots of models and theories that really sound good. The lecturer throws out a lot of content in front of the participants, everyone takes for himself what suits him at that moment, and there is not much real learning that has a lasting effect. Many take very little for themselves, get bored, spend time on their mobile phones and put a checkmark on completed education.
My approach to group coaching starts from the “client theory”. The client can be one person or a group (system). For me, the client/group brings with it its own rules, its own environment, its own ideas. It is up to me to adapt my knowledge to the needs and theory of the client/group. I use everything that individuals and groups already know and can do in order to move in the direction of the desired change.
We deal with specific, practical situations. Instead of presentations, everyone actively participates and together we create the content of the workshop. The group I work with knows a lot more about their work than I do, and I use that knowledge to come up with concrete and practical solutions to the problems that arise.
I am sure that your team also deserves the expert approach of a psychologist who will recognize your peculiarities and use them for growth!

Business teams

Work on team development at work does not begin at the moment when a problem arises that necessarily requires a reaction. At that moment, it becomes obvious that something is wrong and that something should have been done earlier. By then, the efficiency in terms of interpersonal relations and processes in the company has already been significantly reduced.
By developing teams through workshops, I encourage a better acquaintance and understanding of the people in the team. We create a culture of open and healthy communication. Sharing information, knowledge and requirements becomes desirable, and since we deal with real situations, the solutions are practical and applicable in the daily functioning of the team. There is no hiding team members in team development work, because everyone actively participates, takes responsibility for their role, their way of thinking and acting within the team.

The result of the process in which we work on team development is better connection within the team, improved cooperation, more open discussion about problems and finding solutions that are acceptable for the whole team and contribute to better business functioning.

Sports teams

Cooperation with a sports psychologist is almost always mentioned in moments of crisis of an athlete or a sports team. It is as if the psychologist is expected to be a fireman who will solve the problems that have arisen. Such a perception unfortunately shows ignorance of the profession of sports psychologist. Just as other support staff in sports (fitness trainers, physiotherapists, doctors) cannot solve the problems once and for all, as if with a magic wand, neither can a sports psychologist. The work of a psychologist in sports is optimal if we have in mind a long-term process and if the head coach and other members of the professional team want and can use the psychologist’s knowledge.
A permanent relationship with a sports team that does not have to be everyday, but must be regular, can create a relationship of trust and understanding between psychologists, coaches, athletes and other important people in the sports team. Then it is reasonable to expect that the accumulation of knowledge of all participants in the sports process will lead to progress in performance.

As a sports psychologist, I can be engaged in 1:1 work with the coach/s and athletes, we can hold team workshops with parts or the whole team, or we can arrange the kind of cooperation that will best suit the needs of the team. I am sure that the psychological preparation of athletes provides an unexplored and large space for advancement, and whoever is among the first to use it, will gain a competitive advantage.

Typed workshops

According to your wishes, I can hold pre-prepared workshops on certain topics, so that your team can progress in that area. I do not conduct such workshops as part of a wider program, but according to the client’s needs, we choose a topic that is current for the team at a given moment. Although I strongly advocate long-term programs that create added value and lasting change by monitoring and upgrading the team from workshop to workshop, one-off typed workshops can bring about a shift in individual and group knowledge and functioning.
Examples of workshops are workshops in the field of giving and receiving feedback, self-awareness, personal effectiveness, problem solving, etc.
